Malaysia government might limit internet access for Malaysian Teens from 12am to 6am to fight addiction
According to a report by NST , internet addiction among the Malaysian teens are reaching an alarming rate.
Can you imagine 89% respondents surveyed admitted they are addicted to the internet.
Apparently the government is considering to implement policy models in South Korea and Japan to control internet addiction among the teenagers. For those who are under 17 years old, they will have restricted internet access from 12am to 6am.
Deputy Health Minister, Dr Lee Boon Chye, told the parliament this move is essential as there is an apparent rise in internet addiction among Malaysian youngsters.
Students are encouraged to use the computer at the age of 10 in school. Is this the trend we are moving towards?
